When not writing, teaching or discovering new things, I’m reading, cooking, zentangling, or learning a new skill. Yes, the addiction to learning does exist!
I believe in equality for everyone, and I believe that to fulfil that equality means helping those who are most hurt by the system as it stands now. I believe that this change requires leadership not just by me but by everyone. This leadership means helping people achieve dignified living conditions and empowering them to believe they are capable of having a different kind of life.
I believe that to empower people is not just to give them knowledge but to listen to their voices and ideas. I believe that in the process of empowerment involves learning critical thinking abilities so that they become independent and they come to believe in themselves, and most importantly, in their capabilities of being leaders themselves.
I believe I can help bring this change by making knowledge more accessible through storytelling, within the different aspects of my life: teaching, writing, and science work.
